Why I built ThinkForTreats
I wanted my nephew asking for “one more round” to mean one more round of learning.
Kids don’t lack the ability to learn. They lack a reason to care right now. Homework apps feel like a chore: finish this worksheet, get through this lesson. Games feel different. They give you a goal, a fun challenge, and something to show off when you’re done. ThinkForTreats started with one question: what if learning felt like a game instead of a chore?
Who's behind it
I’m a software engineer, building products professionally since 2018. Before ThinkForTreats, I built a learning platform used by thousands of school students, worked on a national COVID-19 platform that connected more than 100,000 people with doctors, and spent nearly four years as a founding engineer at an analytics company serving enterprise customers.
How I build it for your child
I build every part of ThinkForTreats assuming a child will be holding the device. That’s why the parent PIN can’t be reset from a signed-in phone, only from a link sent to your email. It’s why a quest either gets all 5 puzzles or isn’t created, and why we never ask for your child’s real name.

What's next
Better puzzles across more subjects and age groups, and a faster way for parents to set up quests. What gets built next is shaped by what parents tell me, so if something would make ThinkForTreats work better for your family, I’d like to hear it.
